A sad Ivystar

Ivystar sat on the Highrock. The wind flying on her fur. A tear ran down her face. Today, her sister, Larchsong, died. She had been very depressed. She knew of nobody who could calm her, unless her mother, Morningheart were still alive. But sadly, she had died a moon before, and her father, Tigerheart had died 3 moons before. She had no family alive left; except for her daughter, Poppydawn.

Icerose sit beside her, rapping her tail along her paws. "Ivystar..." She said softly, almost too softly for her to hear her. She licked the leaders cheek.

Ivystar looked over at her sister. "What do you need, Icerose?" she asked, nothing but sadness in her voice.

Icerose laid back her ears. "Please don't be sad... life goes on" She said sharply.

Ivystar shut her eyes tight, a tear running down her face. "I can't. Not knowing that it will be like this." she sighed. "Icerose, life is at it's toughest. Has Starclan sent you an-" that moment she froze. and image of her sister, as black as night, bright as day, was all she saw. In her ear a voice whispered, "With one cat, as black as night, and bright as day, with the power of the stars at her paws, will bring water to the river, charge the thunder, concur the shadows, calming the wind, and bringing the sky, shall bring the clans together as one." Ivystar blunk, and it was gone. "Wha..." she siad, stammering, "Icerose..." her voice trailed on...

ic: Ivystar stammered. "A-A-A-" She finally choked it out. "A vision." she said. "I saw you, your pelt was black, but glowing as bright as day... and I heard this voice say something to me..." she mewed.

Icerose laid back her ears. "You can't be saying..." She get up and took a step back. She widened her eyes. Why me? No it can't! Starclan should have told me! She opened her mouth to say more. But nothing came out.

Ivystar nodded, solemnly, "I am, I'll repeat what they said to me. 'With one cat, as black as night, and bright as day, with the power of the stars at her paws, will bring water to the river, charge the thunder, concur the shadows, calming the wind, and bringing the sky, shall bring the clans together as one.'" She mewed. "Icerose, I know why Starclan chose you." she said, her eyes shining.

Icerose sat back down. "And what is that?"

Ivystar looked at Icerose, her eyes soft and gentle. "Icerose, Starclan believes in you. As soon as you were apprenticed, I knew that. Starclan trust's you. That's something no other cat in the forest may have." She mewed, softly.

Icerose sat down, purring softly. "You really mean that?" She asked, walking closer to her sister. She genitally rapped her tail arounf her.
